Repair works for the Apia Town Clock
Cabinet has approved repair works for the Apia Town Clock by the Tower Clock Services company from Australia.
The clock was damaged from banners and decorating lights that were put up for the Teuila Festival in 2013. Repairs to the Town Clock are proving costly due to difficulty sourcing original parts and skilled experts for maintenance work.
The clock underwent major repair works in 2010 after it was damaged by Cyclones Ofa and Valelia in 1990 and 1991.
