FROM JAPAN WITH THANKS- FAAFETAI, FAAFETAI TELE LAVA

Luteru Tauvale one of the Samoan students who has graduated with a Doctor of Science (PhD) in Meteorology and Climate in Japan has send a letter of appreciation and thank you to Prime Minister Tuilaepa Dr. Sailele Malielegaoi.
The letter is in reply to the Government’s initiative to repatriate students who have completed studies in Japan, China and Australia along with Samoan residents, missionaries and public servants unable to come home due to the COVID 19.
“With respect, allow my humble self on behalf of all the students studying in Japan to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to your kind self our Prime Minister and the Government of Samoa for considering our security and safe return.”
“The repatriation flight initiated by Government has restored our confidence and eliminate our fears for our safety and we thank you, our Prime Minister.
“Faafetai, faafetai, faafetai tele lava,” the PHD graduate wrote to the Prime Minister.
Tauvale also acknowledge the weekly media interviews from Samoa with Prime Minister which has been their air source of accurate and factual information on the actions and reforms by Government and sending “reassurances to all overseas Samoans that Government remains active and on the frontline to protect at people,” he said.
The four Samoan students in Japan in contact with Tuvale includes;

Graduated with Master of Global Environmental Studies
3. Robert Bartley
Ministry of Work and Infrastructure
Graduated with Master of Arts in Policy Science
4. Agape Feunai Papalii
Scientific Research Organization of Samoa
Graduated with Doctor of Science (PhD) in Agriculture Science
5. Luteru Tauvale
Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Meteorology Division
Graduated with Doctor of Science (PhD) in Meteorology and Climate
Samoans eligible for the flight will congregate at either Sydney or Brisbane for the direct chartered flight to Samoa organised by Government with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade taking the lead in organising and coordinating the arrangements.
The flight is scheduled to take place in the last week of September.
