In the hope of achieving herd immunity for Samoa, and in our collective efforts to fortify our national response to the unprecedented impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Government together with its partners will undertake a ‘Follow-up Mass Vaccination Campaign’ on Friday 19 November, 2021 from 8am to 6pm throughout the whole country.
The public is kindly advised that there will be NO PUBLIC HOLIDAY. All government and private sector services will remain open for normal business on this day. The roads will also be open to the traveling public, however, there may be police check points on the roads which may require a show of the general public’s vaccination cards.
The committee implores the country’s support to help the vaccination teams to identify the families and individuals who require vaccination by tying a piece of red cloth, or a red flag in front of their residences, organizations and businesses.
The committee also encourages the general public to carry their vaccination cards on this day.
We pray fervently that our Lord Jesus Christ will continue to guide and bless this purpose for the security of the country.
