STATUS COVID-19 ACTIVE COMMUNITY CASES
Samoa’s Ministry of Health confirmed 216 new community cases today, 26th March 2022 at 2:00pm. This brings the total number of community cases recorded since 17th March 2022 to 1,057 with 1,028 cases confirmed in Upolu and 29 in Savaii. Of the 1,057 confirmed community cases recorded, 1,040 remain active cases. Recorded disaggregated data of community cases by gender reveals that 57% of confirmed community cases are female while 43% are male. Disaggregated data by age group is illustrated in Figure1 below. A total of 16,019 RATs have been administered to date. The islands of Manono and Apolima remain covid-19 free.
