The public is respectfully advised that the Ministry of Health confirmed 362 new community cases, 15 cases in managed isolation and 4 critical cases in ICU at the Moto’otua Hospital within the period commencing from 2:00pm 16th April to 2:00pm 18th April, 2022.

Members of the public are reminded to remain vigilant and take heed of public health advice to wear face masks, keep to the 2 meter social distancing in public places, stay home and isolate if you are feeling unwell and practice safe personal hygiene at all times. The public is again urged to get vaccinated as vaccination remains the best defense against COVID-19 pandemic. Keeping our families and loved ones safe is everyone’s responsibility.

COVID 19 Related Deaths

Sadly, the Ministry of Health confirmed one (1) new COVID-19 related death within this reporting period, taking the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 13. The deceased is a 73 year old male. Out of respect for the families and relatives, we will not be making any further comments.
