The Faleata 4 constituency is one step closer to fulfilling requirements for the Government’s $1 million project following the official opening of its District Development Center last Saturday.
Located at Toamua, the official opening was attended by the Minister of Finance Mulipola Anarosa Ale Molioo, Minister of Agriculture Fisheries La’auli Leuatea Polataivao Fosi, Member Parliament of the Faleata No. 4 constituency Ale Vena Ale, and members of the constituency. In her keynote address, the finance minister gave her thanks to the Constituency for the hard work put into this project.
Mulipola explained the importance of the office is providing a place for the Constituency to meet and discuss the district’s future developments, guided by the committee and three permanent staff.
Member of Parliament for Faleata No. 4 Ale Vena Ale gave his thanks to the Government for the initiative that has enabled the construction of the Center.
The building consists of three offices, one meeting room and a bathroom, and was constructed by AK Build for $125,000 and Ale was proud to reveal that the company is owned and run by people from Faleata No. 4.
“It is equipped with desks, computers, machines and internet connection has been established to start serving the constituency,” Faleata 4 opens District Development Center said Ale.
He emphasized the importance of the initial $200,000 of the project to construct the Center, which is also utilized towards wages for the three permanent staff of the Center and for the allowances of the Committee members.
