The Official Ceremony for the Dissolution of the XVIth Parliament of the Independent State of Samoa will be held on Wednesday 3rd of March 2021 at the Maota Fono Mulinuu. The Official Dissolution Ceremony will commence at 10.00am. The ceremony will be attended by His Highness the Head of State, Afioga Tuimalealiifano Vaaletoa Sualauvi II, the Honorable Prime Minister, Susuga Hon.Tuilaepa Dr. Sailele Malielegaoi, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Afioga Hon. Leaupepe T. Toleafoa Faafisi, Diplomatic Corps, and invited guests.
All media personnel/representatives wishing to attend are advised to contact the Office of the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly to confirm attendance by 8pm Tuesday 2nd March 2021. Media Representatives who fail to confirm attendance with the Office will not be permitted inside the Maota, as seating allocation is limited. Media personnel/representatives who are confirmed seating allocation are advised that;
1. The use of cameras for still photos is not permitted and only the use of video cameras will be permitted inside the Maota.
2. Media personnel/representatives are to have all equipment set up and to be seated by 9am to await the commencement of proceedings.
The Official Ceremony proceedings will be followed by the Official Launching of the History of Parliament Project.
