(GOVT. PRESS SECRETARIAT); The Government has continued its roll out of the AstraZeneca vaccine this week after it was temporarily on hold for a week.
The current vaccinated population according to statistics from the Ministry of Health (MOH) stand at:
• First dose: 53,540 (29,864 male & 23,676 female) accounting for 43.9% of the eligible population.
• Second dose: 11,406 (6,371 male & 5,035 female) accounting for 9.4% of the eligible population.
The Ministry of Health yesterday announced the continuation of the vaccination roll out and publicized the locations and time for the administering of both the first and second dose for the eligible population of Samoa.
Fixed site locations are as follows:
• MOH Credentialing Building (opposite NKFS compound)
• EPI Immunization Main Office (opposite Seb & Rene)
• Matagialalua Clinic
• STA Fale
The above locations open Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
Vaccinations are free of charge and will be administered to those who are eligible to be vaccinated.
The public is advised to provide a valid ID, passport or birth certificate at the vaccination site.
