Honourable Judges of the District Court of New Zealand and a delegation of senior lawyers paid a visit to the children survivors of gender-based violence at the Campus of Hope this week.

Organized by the Samoa Law Society, President Alex Su’a and colleagues accompanied the visitors to the Campus.
The visit was part of the delegation’s Trial Advocacy training for the Samoa Law Society from 5 – 6 April 2023.

The visiting team expressed a keen interest in observing the victim support systems, criminal justice programs, and its infrastructure in Samoa, in order to gain a more personal and first-hand appreciation of these systems.

The SVSG President, Siliniu Lina Chang joined the children survivors in welcoming the delegation to the Campus.

According to Alex Su’a, “the visit will undoubtedly help the visiting Honourable Judges and their delegation to gain valuable insights and knowledge that they can bring back to their work in New Zealand”

“Thank you so much President Siliniu for providing this valuable opportunity to visit and observe the support systems in place for victims in Samoa.”
