(GOVERNMENT PRESS SECRETARIAT)- Luatua Semiperive Epati’s appointment as the first Chief Executive Officer to lead the newly established Ministry of Sports and Recreation was inked by Cabinet this afternoon.

A seasonal sports administrator, Luatua brings a wealth of experience with 27 years as Assistant CEO with the former Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture.

He holds a Bachelor in Physical Education and Sports from Jiwaji University based in Gwalior India.

8 applicants had vied for the post but one was not considered after missing the deadline to submit applications while second withdrew.
