Cabinet and Government of Samoa has officially endorsed the telecommunication license for SpaceX. This license allows Starlink Samoa Ltd to provide Internet services and equipment to operate in Samoa. Such services will provide the Samoan people with improved high-speed Internet connectivity to residential and businesses.

There are two ways to purchase Starlink services in Samoa:

1) Direct Purchase Online through https://starlink.com

2) Local Resellers and Retailers:

Starlink satellite unit(s) can be purchased locally from Digicel or Vodafone (official resellers) or CSL and Bluebird Lumber (official retailers) approved by SpaceX.

The public is advised that Noel Leeming, the Warehouse and any overseas SpaceX resellers that do not have a license to do business in Samoa cannot issue reseller and retailor approvals.

Therefore, the Regulator will only accept approved retailer or reseller confirmations issued by SpaceX.

The Regulator reminds the public that it is illegal for any business to sell Starlink satellite units in Samoa without providing the Regulator with written approval authorized by SpaceX.

People who buy Starlink satellite units overseas and bring them to Samoa will roam paying the tariff of the country where starlink unit was bought. To address this issue, register your unit in Samoa using starlink.com website allowing the use of Samoa’s local tariff of $139 Tala per month, unlimited for residential. Tariff for businesses and Government offices are on the starlink website.

This Government endorsement marks a significant step forward in improving connectivity, supporting economic growth, and enhancing access to reliable Internet services in Samoa.
