Prime Minister to attend Polynesian Leaders meeting
Cabinet has approved the trip by Honourable Prime Minister, Susuga Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi to Tahiti to attend the extraordinary meeting of the Polynesian Leaders Group on 15 – 16 July 2015.

Participating countries at the meeting include Cook Island, Tonga, Tuvalu, French Polynesia, American Samoa, Tokelau and Samoa.

The objective of this meeting include the signing of a joint declaration that will be referred to the highest level at the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change which will take place in Paris, France this December.

The declaration will clearly state the ambitions of the PLG with regard to concrete programmes aimed at climate change adaptation.
