On Thursday (23 April 2015) morning, the Prime Minister and Cabinet officially opened the new hospital at Sataua.

The Prime Minister of Samoa, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, made the following statement regarding media queries on news reports that New Zealand is spying on Pacific neighbours.
American Football stars in Samoa, as part of the National Football League Players Tour to Samoa, today visited the Prime Minister on the first day of their five-day tour schedule.
“The enduring hope is that for everyone involved and with interests in the Pacific, the ‘catch phrase’ must not be about rivalries and confrontations. Instead the narrative should be about care for the Pacific, the creation of opportunities, common development and mutual respect. “

During an interview with the Savali Newspaper, Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi was asked to comment on a number of issues raised in relation to Government’s development plans for 2015 and over the next few years.
Cabinet has approved the participation by Honourable Prime Minister, Susuga Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, at two meetings in New York from 22 to 28 September 2014.
